- Complete gene annotation, database and analysis process
- Comprehensive data on cancer populations such as liver cancer and lung cancer in Taiwan
Introduction
According to the WHO’s report, cancer is the world’s leading cause of death. From 14 million cases worldwide in 2012, it has increased to 22 million at present (an increase of 57%). In Taiwan, cancer has been the top ten causes of death for 30 consecutive years, with 28 deaths from cancer for every 100 people. In addition to cancer, many chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and kidney disease are also related to gene variant. Whole genome sequencing analysis can be used to interpret the currently known related genes at one time.
