Third-Generation Sequencing

Compare to short-read sequencing with libraries of <1 kb length, the third-generation sequencing platforms currently sequence libraries with insert sizes up to 50 kb. Data produced from contiguous long reads greatly facilitates assemblies and investigation of genomic regions previously difficult to sequence due to long repeats, strong base composition bias, or structural rearrangements.

With the PacBio Sequel IIe systems and SMRT (Single Molecule, Real-Time) technology, TGIA expands the capabilities in long-read sequencing for de novo whole-genome assembly, structural variants discovery, comprehensive transcriptome analyses, complex population characterization, and more.

We offer complete services including high-quality sample prep, library prep, library size selection, PacBio sequencing, and bioinformatic analysis.
